Therapist-in-Training
Kaiya Quinlan
I believe therapy is a supportive space where children, teens, and families can connect, grow, and overcome challenges together.
Hey, I’m Kaiya.
Hello! I’m Kaiya, and I’m excited to be part of the ARISE team, where I am committed to providing accessible, compassionate mental health care for children, teens, and their families. My focus is on creating a safe, judgment-free space where kids and teens feel truly heard and valued—and where caregivers feel supported, too. I understand how tough it can be to see your child struggle, and I’m here to offer both guidance and empathy to help make real progress. Building a strong, trusting relationship with each child and family is central to the work we’ll do together to tackle the challenges you’re facing.
My background & approach
My path into mental health started years ago and has led me to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Grand Valley State University, and now, I’m working on my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wayne State University, graduating this spring. In my practice, I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systems Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and a strengths-based approach. This mix lets us dig into how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect, giving both children and caregivers practical tools for handling challenges day-to-day.
Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, self-esteem struggles, or big life changes, I’m here to support your family every step of the way. Let’s work together on building the skills and resilience your child—and your family—need to thrive.
