I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where self-exploration and connection lead to healing and growth.
Hi, I’m Henry.
I’m passionate about helping teens, young adults, and families navigate life's most challenging transitions. Whether your family is adjusting to immigrating into the United States or you're a young adult facing the uncertainties of adulthood, I offer supportive, compassionate care tailored to your needs. As a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist, I provide therapy for those dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and trauma, and I specialize in equine-assisted therapy for teens, adults, and families. My goal is to help you and your loved ones build resilience, foster self-exploration, and develop the tools needed for healing and growth.
My background & approach
With experience counseling in both middle school and high school settings, I have a particular strength in building rapport with teens and pre-teens who may be reluctant or distrustful of therapy. I support individuals and families grappling with a range of challenges, including trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm, relationship struggles, anger, anxiety, depression, and communication issues. I believe that adversity—whether current or rooted in the past—can often leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, others, and the present moment.
My approach is flexible and grounded in evidence-based practices, with the goal of tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), psychodynamic interventions, and internal family systems (IFS) approaches to help you or your loved one achieve meaningful change. As an equine-assisted therapist, I also use animal-facilitated interventions to create a calming, interactive space for healing.
At the core of my work is the belief that every person brings their own unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths to therapy. I’m here to help you explore those experiences, increase self-awareness, and form new connections to lead a more empowered, fulfilling life.
