Therapist-in-Training

Jade Phillips

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where self-exploration and connection lead to healing and growth.

Hi, I’m Jade.

Hello! I’m Jade, an intern in the foundational practicum stage of my clinical social work program. I’m excited to be part of this team, where I’ll be supporting group therapy sessions, coordinating events, and contributing to our Kiwanis Partnership Program. My passion is to help individuals and families build resilience and navigate challenges through meaningful support and connection.

My background & approach

In this phase of my training, I’m focused on gaining hands-on experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. I am deeply committed to understanding each person’s unique journey and providing a safe, non-judgmental space where they can feel empowered to express themselves. I incorporate a person-centered approach, which emphasizes empathy, active listening, and collaboration.

You’ll often find me working closely with clients in group therapy settings, helping to facilitate healing conversations and guiding participants toward personal growth. I’m also involved in planning community events and activities through our partnership with Kiwanis, where I enjoy promoting wellness and connection. While training with the team, I aim to further develop my skills in supporting individuals through life transitions, trauma, and mental health challenges.

I’m looking forward to continuing my learning journey and contributing to the emotional well-being of the clients and community members we serve!
